2023 Salute to Women of Achievement

We invite you to recognize outstanding women in your organization, a field of work, or community, at the 2023 Salute to Women of Achievement luncheon on May 25, 2023. This unique event celebrates the determination, passion, and dedication of women in our community and the businesses that support them. Coming from all walks of life, we will celebrate women who meaningfully contribute to their workplace, families, and community. We are excited to share that the 2023 Salute to Women of Achievement will be in a new location this year at the Downtown Reno Ballroom 401 S. Center St. Reno, NV 89501.

Since 1983, Nevada Women’s Fund has made a significant impact on women’s lives, raising and awarding over $9 million in education scholarships to women from Northern Nevada, and grant funding to organizations supporting women and children.

About the Salute to Women of Achievement luncheon: Local corporations and organizations recognize individual women for their community service, career, and personal achievements. Considered Reno’s largest business luncheon, nearly 1,400 attend annually to honor the deserving woman in our community while supporting the Nevada Women’s Fund’s mission of Empowering Women to Achievement.

Salute champions in your company and the community: The luncheon is an excellent opportunity to honor women inside and outside your organization. Honor a key employee in your company or perhaps consider recognizing a woman in the community. Identify company leaders, teachers, caregivers, faith workers, non-profit professionals, or volunteers – the choice is yours.

Keynote Speaker: Sandra Douglass Morgan, 1999 University of Nevada Reno graduate and newly named President of the National Football League’s Las Vegas Raiders.

How to Participate: Space is Limited. Make your reservation now by returning the attached Sponsorship Agreement no later than March 17, 2023. Upon receiving your reservation, we will respond with forms for you to submit company and honoree information. Here is the link to submit your form

Power of the Purse

2022 Power of the Purse event will be held Friday, November 18 at the Downtown Reno Ballroom.  The virtual raffle was a great success and we are looking forward to being back in person for this event! 

We celebrate what is inside each woman’s purse- the economic building power that she brings to our local community. Women make up more than half of the U.S. population, and control or influence 85% of consumer spending (Source, Forbes 2019). Our 1000+ guests come to the Reno Ballroom each year to shop local vendors, enjoy food, beverages, and our famous high-end purse raffle. Your support of Power of the Purse allows Nevada Women’s Fund to continue Empowering the Woman who carries the purse!  This premier holiday shopping event raises money to support the Nevada Women’s Fund’s scholarship and grant programs. Since 1983 Nevada Women’s Fund has awarded over $9 million in academic scholarships for women in Northern Nevada and awarded community grants supporting women and children. Our academic scholarships support local women to obtain higher education, resulting in them achieving financial security.


General admission tickets – $75.  Ticket includes: Access to the event from 6-9pm,  2 drink tickets, appetizers and access to shop from our select vendors.

 VIP tickets – $150.  Ticket includes: Early admittance at 5pm for a VIP champagne and shopping hour, with first access to shop from our select vendors, a VIP hour purse raffle, 2 drink tickets and appetizers.
