Scholarships
Since its inception in 1983, Nevada Women’s Fund’s scholarship program has grown from two $500 scholarships to over $5.8 million awarded. These funds have empowered women across northern Nevada to pursue their academic goals, uplift their families, and challenge generational norms. Our scholarship alumnae are breaking barriers and making a profound impact as medical doctors, educators, policymakers, mental health professionals, researchers, and in many other vital roles, contributing to both local and global communities.
Summit Project
In the past decade, more women have graduated from college than men, signaling a significant shift in higher education. Unfortunately, the gender wage gap has remained unchanged, despite two decades of progress in education. Some experts predict that achieving wage parity may take another 3 to 5 generations. To address this disparity, Nevada Women’s Fund will dedicate the same resources it has invested in women’s education over the past four decades to accelerate progress through the Summit Project: northern Nevada’s premier initiative focused on closing the gap between educational attainment and economic equity.
