Nevada Women’s Fund is proud to announce the release of the Status and Achievement of Women in Nevada report, conducted by the Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities, the first comprehensive, statewide analysis of its kind in more than two decades.
This landmark report establishes long-overdue benchmarks, delivering a clear, data-driven view of where women in Nevada are thriving and where critical gaps persist. The report examines key factors shaping women’s lives across our state, including economic participation and pay equity, housing and financial security, education, health and mental health, safety and justice, political representation, leadership and entrepreneurship, and the experiences of women in retirement. It also features an interactive data map, allowing users to explore trends by county and compare Nevada to national performance indicators.
The findings tell a powerful and complex story. Women in Nevada have made meaningful gains in education, political representation, and entrepreneurship, demonstrating resilience and leadership that is shaping our state’s future. Yet persistent disparities in pay, caregiving responsibilities, housing affordability, healthcare access, and safety continue to limit opportunity, especially for mothers, women of color, rural women, and older women.

The message is clear: progress is not guaranteed. In some areas, it is stalling, or even reversing.
